The University of Manitoba is entering a new and exciting phase
with the launch of MOMENTUM: Leading Change Together,
University of Manitoba Strategic Plan, 2024-2029.
Creating the plan was a community effort, and so the moment will be marked with a special celebration for faculty, staff and students on April 4, 2024 in the Multi Purpose Room at UMSU University Centre.

SET Day – Pizza 101
On February 21, 2024, Erin Goldberg (Research Associate) and Amanda Sa (Post-Doctoral Fellow) hosted Grade 11 and 12 students and their teachers from across the province as part of Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) Day!
Students learned about the science involved in making one of Canada’s favourite foods – Pizza, and the many job opportunities available in the food and human nutritional sciences! During this hands-on activity making pizza from scratch, students learned about dough formation, fermentation, and cheese production, and also gained experience in the nutritional and sensory analysis of pizza.
